How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.
Working Pattern
Key Responsibilities
*Providing day-to-day care, monitoring and support for hospitalised patients under the guidance of qualified colleagues.
*Developing practical nursing skills and clinical knowledge in line with your training and level of experience.
*Supporting nurse clinics, client education and the delivery of excellent client care.
*Helping to maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, patient welfare and clinical safety.
*Assisting with pharmacy duties, stock management and the preparation of clinical areas.
*Working collaboratively with the wider practice team and contributing to a positive, supportive working environment.
*Taking an active role in your learning and development, making the most of opportunities to gain experience and build confidence.
