We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to build your skills and grow your career.

Role Details

  • Location: Initially based in Cayce, South Carolina.
  • Work arrangement: Hybrid, with on-site presence as required and remote work otherwise.
  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with frequent overtime and weekend work as project requirements dictate.
  • Pay: $83,800 – $163,900 annually (based on experience)
  • Travel: Ability to travel to and work at project sites, with approximately 30% travel required.
  • Travel support: Company vehicle provided.

The Opportunity

The Project Manager takes ownership of defined scopes on active utility construction projects, coordinating daily execution from work planning through closeout. You will lead subcontractors and crews, track progress and costs, and work with field leadership to deliver construction safely, to specification, and on schedule.

This early-career leadership opportunity suits someone with strong coordination experience who is ready for greater project responsibility. Whether your background is in utilities, civil infrastructure, or industrial construction, you will bring practical field knowledge to planning, issue resolution, and collaboration with project and client teams.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Develop work plans, short-term schedules, and construction sequences, and lead job start-ups, daily huddles, and field planning sessions.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, equipment mobilization, and material deliveries, working with Procurement, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to align resources and resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor daily and weekly progress, costs, quantities, and productivity. Validate completed work against project milestones and promptly escalate emerging risks, delays, and field issues.
  • Ensure checklists, redline drawings, and inspection records are complete and accurate, and confirm work meets client specifications, utility standards, and approved procedures.
  • Document scope changes and prepare supporting information for change orders and project reporting.
  • Lead safety discussions and hazard assessments, maintain timely submission of field-level risk assessments, permits, and incident records, and participate in audits and safety improvements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned scopes with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors, and contribute clear updates to internal reviews and progress meetings.
  • Coordinate turnover records, including redlines, test reports, and completion certificates, and support demobilization planning, lessons learned, and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–10+ years of field-based project management experience, ideally in utility, infrastructure, or construction environments, with exposure to transmission line construction, electrical distribution systems, or substation construction.
  • A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical or operational field.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, scopes of work, and contract deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in active field environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and project tracking software such as Procore or SiteDocs.
  • An understanding of quality assurance principles and field-level safety practices.
  • A PMP or CET designation in progress, or the intention to pursue one.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel and work rotational shift schedules.

The range shown is the expected base pay range for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on role requirements, experience, qualifications, work location, applicable project/site requirements, internal equity, and any applicable collective agreement or union requirements.

This range does not include overtime, premiums, per diem / LOA, bonuses, benefits, or other forms of compensation unless specifically stated in the job posting.

Base Pay Range
$83,000—$164,000 USD
