About the Opportunity

Our reputed client, a leading organization in the Life Sciences and Molecular Diagnostics industry, is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to drive the sales of laboratory automation systems, capital equipment, and reagents across the molecular diagnostics market.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic sales professional who enjoys consultative selling, building long-term customer relationships, and driving business growth within PCR and NGS laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and generate new business opportunities for laboratory capital equipment, automation platforms, reagents, and consumables across diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, research institutes, and biotechnology organizations.
  • Promote complete PCR and NGS laboratory solutions, including workflow design, equipment selection, installation coordination, user training, and reagent business development.
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular meetings, technical discussions, product presentations, demonstrations, and consultative selling.
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline while maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with the Applications, Technical Support, and Service teams to ensure seamless execution from opportunity generation to installation and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with distributors and channel partners by creating end-user demand, conducting joint customer visits, and providing technical sales support.
  • Partner with complementary technology providers within the PCR and NGS ecosystem to develop bundled solutions that deliver greater value to customers.
  • Represent the organization at scientific conferences, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and other industry events to strengthen market presence and generate business opportunities.

Desired Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Life Sciences sales, preferably in capital equipment, laboratory instruments, automation platforms, or molecular diagnostics reagents.
  • Strong understanding of PCR, Real-Time PCR, NGS workflows, and molecular diagnostic laboratory operations.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new customers and managing complex B2B sales cycles involving laboratory heads, clinicians, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
  • Experience working with distributors, channel partners, and strategic business alliances.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with extensive field travel.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Experience

  • Existing relationships with diagnostic laboratory chains, hospitals, research institutes, biotechnology companies, or molecular diagnostics laboratories.
  • Experience handling institutional sales, government organizations, academic research institutes, and tender-based business.
  • Exposure to public procurement and large project sales will be an added advantage.
