Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's overall financial strategy, capital allocation, investment planning, and financial governance. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial growth, maximizing profitability, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting business expansion through data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial leadership, corporate finance, strategic planning, treasury management, fundraising, and business growth. The CFO will oversee all financial functions while acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial and investment matters.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on all financial and commercial decisions. Evaluate business opportunities, investments, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives from a financial perspective.
Lead financial planning to support sustainable growth, profitability, and shareholder value. Capital Allocation & Investment Management
Oversee capital allocation and investment decisions to maximize returns and optimize business performance.
Evaluate and approve major expenditures, investments, and resource allocation across departments.
Assess investment opportunities, business acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic ventures.
Monitor return on investment (ROI) and financial performance of key business initiatives.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Monitor organizational financial performance and establish financial KPIs across business units.
Drive profitability improvement initiatives and cost optimization strategies.
Present financial insights, business forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Manage corporate treasury functions, liquidity planning, working capital, and cash flow optimization.
Ensure adequate capital availability to support operational and expansion requirements.
Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and debt management strategies. Risk Management & Governance
Identify financial, operational, and market risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Establish robust internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements.
Oversee enterprise risk management and business continuity planning. Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Management
Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, board reports, and investor presentations.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance and key business metrics.
Manage relationships with auditors, financial institutions, investors, regulatory authorities, and external advisors.
Support fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financing activities.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, and compliance teams.
Build a high-performance finance function that supports organizational growth and operational excellence.
Foster a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
CA, CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior management or executive-level roles.
Proven experience in financial strategy, corporate finance, treasury management, investment evaluation, and business growth planning.
Strong understanding of financial modeling, capital management, fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, and risk management.
Experience working directly with CEOs, investors, board members, and senior leadership teams.
