Data Scientist with Security Clearance

Data Scientist Location: San Antonio, TX Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a collaborative, mission-driven technical team focused on solving complex problems through advanced analytics and innovation. This role supports data-driven decision-making in a defense-focused environment. Key Responsibilities * Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical models * Perform statistical analysis, machine learning, and exploratory data analysis * Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI * Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions * Mentor team members and evaluate emerging data science techniques * Establish data governance, quality standards, and reproducibility practices Position Level This role may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal Data Scientist level. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience, master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year (Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree) * Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility * Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling * Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, Spark or Hadoop * U.S. Citizenship required * Experience with data visualization tools and libraries * Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Preferred Qualifications * Strong communication and leadership skills * Experience mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams * Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (NIST, RMF) * SAP access (Spartan preferred)
