Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in routing and switching, network security, firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and troubleshooting complex network environments. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
- Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Manage network technologies including VLANs, STP, QoS, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and IPv4/IPv6.
- Monitor network performance and proactively optimize network availability and reliability.
- Configure and maintain VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security policies.
- Support cloud networking environments in AWS and Azure.
- Perform network upgrades, migrations, firmware updates, and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot network incidents and provide root cause analysis for production issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver network solutions.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call support and ensure adherence to organizational security and compliance standards.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Network Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
- Experience configuring Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, MPLS, VLANs, STP, QoS, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and IPv4/IPv6.
- Extensive experience with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, or Fortinet firewalls.
- Experience implementing Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN solutions.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and wireless networking.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, and Cisco DNA Center.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies such as Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or VMware Velocloud.
- Experience with AWS and Azure networking services.
- Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, or PowerShell.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cisco ACI and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).
- Experience with load balancers such as F5 BIG-IP.
- Familiarity with network access control (Cisco ISE).
- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, or Telecommunications domains.
Education
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
