Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Karate, and UI/Manual Testing. The ideal candidate will lead QA automation initiatives, define testing strategies, mentor QA engineers, and ensure high-quality software releases.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation testing.

  • Strong experience with Karate for API testing and automation.

  • Excellent UI and Manual Testing experience.

  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

  • Experience with API testing, REST services, and backend validation.

  • Strong knowledge of test planning, test strategy, test cases, defect management, and QA processes.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong experience with JIRA or similar defect/test management tools.

  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.

  • Ability to analyze test results, identify quality risks, and drive defect resolution.

Lead Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA automation and testing activities across multiple applications/features.

  • Design and implement robust Playwright and Karate automation frameworks.

  • Define automation strategy, coding standards, and QA best practices.

  • Review test cases, automation scripts, and overall test coverage.

  • Mentor and guide QA engineers.

  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Identify automation opportunities and improve overall testing efficiency.

  • Track defects, risks, and quality metrics and provide QA status to stakeholders.

  • Support release validation and production readiness activities.

Preferred

  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for Playwright automation.

  • Experience with Java for Karate/API automation.

  • Exposure to Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
