Founding Product Engineer

About the Role

This is a founding-level engineering role at a fast-moving AI startup building an intelligent platform for strategic procurement. You'll work across the full stack — frontend, backend, and LLM integrations — shipping sophisticated agent-powered features directly used by enterprise customers. Your work will define how AI and procurement professionals interact at scale.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship full-stack features end-to-end, from UI through backend services to prompt workflows.

• Prototype rapidly with LLMs and iterate based on real user feedback to refine product experiences.

• Design and integrate agentic pipelines that make complex procurement intelligence feel simple and intuitive to users.

• Translate signals from enterprise customers into well-scoped product experiences that land quickly.

• Own prompt design, tuning, and LLM integration as a core part of the engineering work — not an afterthought.

• Collaborate closely with the team in-person to move fast, make decisions, and build something exceptional.

What We're Looking For

• 1–10 years of professional software development experience; all levels considered — mindset and output matter most.

• Strong proficiency in full-stack TypeScript across frontend and backend.

• Demonstrated ability to work with LLMs: prompting, tuning, and integrating them into real products — shown through work, side projects, or hackathons.

• Sharp product instincts and creative drive to build experiences users genuinely love.

• High agency and outcome-oriented — you find a way forward without waiting for permission.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating quickly in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

• Eligible to work in Germany without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: €90,000 – €140,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

On-site in Berlin, Germany. Physical presence is required; remote work is not available for this role.
