Position: Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, cloud networking, troubleshooting, and network automation. This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and network security devices.
• Develop and maintain network architecture, diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.
• Manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, NAT, ACLs, QoS, and VPN technologies.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Troubleshoot complex network outages and performance issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement network security controls, segmentation, access policies, and secure connectivity.
• Support cloud networking environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Implement and manage SD-WAN and modern enterprise networking solutions.
• Automate network configuration and operational tasks using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Participate in network migrations, upgrades, data center implementations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate network vulnerabilities.
• Participate in incident management, change management, and disaster recovery activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering or network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and enterprise network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, VXLAN, MPLS, VPN, NAT, ACL, and QoS.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of network security principles and technologies.
• Experience with cloud networking in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with SD-WAN and hybrid network environments.
• Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
