Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – DevSecOps

Job Description

Role Overview

Seeking a highly senior, hands-on engineer (8–10+ years) to join as an embedded SRE within DevSecOps. This is not a beginner or mid-level role—requires deep expertise across multiple disciplines and strong ownership mindset.

Key Responsibilities & Skill

• Operate as a multi-disciplinary engineer across 5–6 areas:
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Monitoring & Observability
  • Security
  • CI/CD automation & release engineering (strong emphasis)
  • System administration (on-prem heavy environment)
• Act as an independent contributor owning projects end-to-end
• Lead initiatives and drive decision-making, including pushing back when necessary
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
• Support and improve CI/CD efficiency and automation processes
• Work in a primarily on-prem environment (cloud exposure preferred but not mandatory)

Experience Requirements

• Targeting 8–10+ of relevant experience
• Strong background in:
  • CI/CD pipelines and release management (critical skill)
  • System administration
  • SRE practices in production environments
• Proven ability to work across multiple domains, not just specialize in 1–2 areas

Team Context

• Existing team consists of mid-level engineers (6–7 years’ experience) with niche skills
• This role is expected to:
  • Bridge across disciplines
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance 
  • Help drive overall project delivery and stability
