This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of shipping containers. The Role • Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to manage shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, maintaining efficient yard flow. • Position and organize containers within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks. • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and flexible shifts, including nights. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
