Senior Solutions Architect | 6-month contract | Up to £675/day | Hybrid, Swindon

A leading UK wealth management firm needs a hands-on Senior Solutions Architect to take defined initiatives in its Platform Value Stream from problem definition through to delivery.

The key details

• Rate: up to £675/day inside IR35, via umbrella
• Length: 6 months
• Location: hybrid, Swindon (2 days per week on site)
• Start: ASAP

The role

This is a delivery role. It has no people management and no architecture-practice leadership. You'll own the architecture for specific initiatives end to end:

• Get up to speed quickly on current state, requirements, constraints and open decisions
• Assess options and produce proportionate conceptual, logical and physical designs
• Take designs through governance and into delivery mobilisation
• Resolve technical decisions and dependencies across Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Infrastructure and third-party teams
• Hand over cleanly to permanent teams

You'll be judged on what gets delivered and adopted, not on the volume of documentation you produce.

What you'll need

• Recent solution architecture delivery in regulated financial services
• Hands-on design ownership, not just assurance or review
• Experience working within an established governance framework and architecture standards
• Comfort working with third-party delivery partners
• Ability to get to grips with an unfamiliar estate quickly
• Wealth, investment platform or Azure experience is a strong plus
