A financial services organization is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a Fully Remote opportunity. This role supports enterprise cybersecurity tools and infrastructure, with a focus on systems administration, vulnerability remediation, and secure platform maintenance.

About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day shift

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Hours: Standard business

Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

Support the administration and operational stability of cybersecurity systems and related infrastructure

Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security platforms across Linux and Windows environments

Remediate vulnerabilities, support patch management, and help maintain system hardening standards

Monitor incidents, work queues, and assigned tasks while participating in Agile/Kanban workflows

Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and process records while coordinating across teams on changes and deployments

Qualifications:

3+ years of Systems Administration or Systems Engineering experience in a large enterprise environment

3+ years of experience supporting Cybersecurity Technologies or Enterprise Infrastructure environments

Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux operating systems and/or Windows Server environments

Experience with patching, upgrading, and maintaining operating systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure

Experience working in large enterprise environments with mature change management processes

Understanding of enterprise security hardening and cybersecurity best practices

Experience working within ITIL-based operational processes including change, incident, problem, and configuration management

Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, or Ansible

Experience supporting SIEM platforms and security monitoring technologies

Knowledge of networking fundamentals and related troubleshooting

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

Experience with Ansible

Experience with Jira and Confluence

Experience in regulated environments such as PCI-DSS, NCUA, or financial services

Ability to read and understand a packet capture

Experience managing Linux-based Java/Tomcat COTS web applications, Windows .NET-based IIS COTS applications, or physical/virtual appliances with limited Linux CLI interfaces
