Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Schwerin, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure services provider, instrumental in driving the transition to sustainable energy. This organization is renowned for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and fostering a collaborative work environment, contributing significantly to the success of the energy transition in Northeast Germany. The Role • Commissioning and testing of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substation projects, including those for renewable energy integration. • Analyzing and resolving faults within protection and control systems, driving improvements in efficiency. • Programming and parameterizing high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Utilizing modern testing equipment for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Collaborating closely with project management, planning, and installation teams to ensure project success. • Actively contributing to energy transmission, distribution, and grid connection projects for industrial and renewable energy sources. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven experience in protection/control technology and commissioning of switchgear, ideally with knowledge of communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5 and Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICRON TestUniverse. • Strong teamwork, responsibility, decision-making, and communication skills, with excellent German proficiency. • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) within Northeast Germany.
