Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and SAP to lead enterprise data integration and cloud modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with SAP environments and designing scalable Azure-based data solutions. This is a remote opportunity supporting a California-based client.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with 12+ years as a Data Architect.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering and analytics.
• Mandatory experience with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, HANA, or SAP Data Services).
• Experience integrating SAP data into Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, and cloud data architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python/Scala programming skills.
• Experience designing enterprise data models and modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Git.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Azure data architecture.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF and Databricks.
• Lead SAP data integration and migration initiatives.
• Architect scalable and secure cloud-based data platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business, SAP, and technical teams to deliver data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization.
