Scientist Senior

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scientist Senior for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in South San Francisco, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
The successful candidate is expected to employ multiparametric flow cytometry in a biomarker laboratory to develop and qualify biomarker assays to support various clinical programs. This role involves independent thinking, choosing the appropriate platform, planning and performing laboratory experiments, documenting protocols and results, and analyzing and interpreting data. With minimal supervision, the candidate will plan, conduct, or monitor experiments, record and organize data, and generate robust and reliable results.
Responsibilities:

• Monitor or follow established experimental design and protocols and perform routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision
• Plan, monitor or conduct, analyze and record experiments, and provide interpretation of data
• Effectively transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary
• Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review
• Engage coworkers in scientific discussions and communicate data and interpretation to the work group
• Develop systems to ensure quality data
• Utilize standard laboratory equipment and one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
• Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, and invention disclosure submissions
• Participate in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting and committees

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) and 2 years of experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience
• Experience with both conventional and spectral flow cytometry in a clinical biomarker setting
• A strong background and experience in multiparametric flow cytometry assays including immunophenotyping, receptor occupancy and immune based functional assays
• Experience with complex data analysis software for flow cytometry such as FlowJo, FCS Express, OMIQ.AI, SPADE, viSNE and CITRUS

Pay range: up to $51.01 per hour
