Claims Handler | Blisworth, United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role

  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigated Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims from first notification to settlement.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering evidence and liaising with clients, witnesses, and third parties.
  • Accurately reserve files and regularly review reserves for ongoing claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, representatives, and legal firms to achieve commercially sound outcomes.
  • Assess quantum using relevant guidelines, medical evidence, and case law.
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and ensure compliance with Pre-Action Protocols.

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience handling EL/PL claims within an insurer, TPA, law firm, or defence environment.
  • Understanding of personal injury, liability principles, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
