Mid Cartographic Analyst | Springfield, VA, United States | Hybrid This employer is seeking a dedicated Cartographic Analyst to join a high-performing government-contractor team supporting a critical national security mission. The role offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced GIS analysis and cartographic production skills in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to essential information for national security efforts. The Role • Perform Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production, and Review. • Execute Cartographic and GIS analyst functions for mission area support. • Extract geospatial features from various sources including rasterized charts, hydrographic survey data, and imagery. • Update source catalogs and associated information. • Conduct data conversion and migration tasks. • Contribute to future needs, capabilities, and developmental assignments. What You'll Need • Possess a current TS/SCI clearance and be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph. • Have a strong geospatial background with experience in Geography, Cartography, and GIS, including proficiency with ArcGIS applications. • Experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features. • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, GIS, geospatial production techniques, and NGA digital data formats. • Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for NGA hydrographic products. • Equivalent of High School diploma with 5 years of relevant experience, or a relevant BS degree with 2 years of experience.
