About ACI Solutions

ACI Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network & Communications Infrastructure Architect to support a mission-critical federal program. The selected candidate will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network and communications infrastructure supporting geographically dispersed locations.

This position requires extensive experience with enterprise networking, communications systems, infrastructure modernization, and network security within complex environments.

Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation
  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based network infrastructures.
  • Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions.
  • Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Architect wired and wireless network solutions supporting mission requirements.
Infrastructure Maintenance & Support
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity across multiple locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis for enterprise infrastructure problems.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation.
Communications Systems Management
  • Support and manage enterprise VoIP systems, video conferencing platforms, and unified communications solutions.
  • Ensure reliable and secure voice, video, and data communications services.
  • Support enterprise communications infrastructure modernization efforts.
Security & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain network security solutions including:
    • Firewalls
    • VPN technologies
    • Access controls
    • Network segmentation
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, federal, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks and respond to incidents.
  • Support security audits, assessments, and accreditation activities.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with internal teams, government stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
  • Coordinate with field personnel and remote sites during deployments and troubleshooting activities.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Technical documentation
    • Network diagrams
    • Architecture documentation
    • Configuration baselines
  • Generate reports related to network performance, outages, and capacity planning.
Project Leadership
  • Lead infrastructure-related projects including:
    • Site build-outs
    • Migrations
    • Network modernization efforts
    • Decommissioning activities
  • Track project milestones, schedules, deliverables, and risks.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''''s degree in:
    • Computer Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Information Systems
    • Related technical discipline

OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in enterprise networking and communications infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience architecting and supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed locations and remote sites.
  • Experience with enterprise wired and wireless networking technologies.

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess one of the following certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure
  • CCIE Enterprise Wireless

AND

  • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Federal Government environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise infrastructures.
  • Experience with cloud networking technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco collaboration technologies.
  • Experience with video teleconferencing systems.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Active DHS, TSA, Secret, or higher clearance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel to customer and field locations as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport network equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
