Job Description

Job Title: Senior IOS Developer
Location: Houston, TX — Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
Duration: Longterm Contract
 
Job Summary:
Looking for an experienced iOS Engineer with hands-on experience building Siri Shortcuts and Siri integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong Swift/iOS development experience and a background in integrating mobile applications with Apple's Siri and Shortcuts ecosystem. 
This role will focus on developing and enhancing Siri-enabled experiences and implementing newer Apple technologies related to Siri, App Intents, and App Shortcuts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift and Apple's iOS frameworks.
  • Design and implement Siri Shortcuts, App Intents, and App Shortcuts.
  • Integrate application functionality with Siri and the Apple Shortcuts ecosystem.
  • Build voice-driven and conversational experiences for iOS users.
  • Define and implement intents, entities, parameters, and actions required for Siri integrations.
  • Work with product, UX, and engineering teams to identify functionality that can be exposed through Siri.
  • Develop, test, debug, and optimize Siri-related features.
  • Ensure integrations follow Apple's platform guidelines and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Siri, Shortcuts, App Intents, and iOS application behavior.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile development activities.
  • Stay current with evolving Apple frameworks and technologies related to Siri and voice experiences.
Required Skills:
  • Strong experience in iOS application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift.
  • Hands-on experience with Siri Shortcuts.
  • Experience with SiriKit and/or Siri integrations.
  • Experience with App Intents and App Shortcuts.
  • Strong understanding of Apple's iOS SDK and development ecosystem.
  • Experience with Xcode, debugging, unit testing, and Git.
  • Experience integrating native iOS functionality with Apple services and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and development best practices.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience developing voice-enabled or conversational experiences.
  • Experience migrating or modernizing Siri Shortcuts implementations to App Intents.
  • Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
  • Knowledge of iOS accessibility and user-experience guidelines.
  • Experience with REST APIs and backend integrations.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Siri Shortcuts and Apple's Siri-related frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
