Job Description

TCS is seeking an experienced AS400 Production Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise AS400/iSeries applications. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, incident management experience, and hands-on expertise with RPG, CL, DB2/400, and production support processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 Production Support for AS400/iSeries applications.
• Monitor production jobs, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Support batch job scheduling, job failures, and production outages.
• Work with RPG III, RPG IV/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Analyze application logs, job logs, spool files, and system messages.
• Perform code fixes, emergency deployments, and production validations.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in on-call support and weekend production activities.
• Ensure SLA compliance and maintain production stability.
