The Role • Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures, performing system audits for compliance. • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions effectively. • Serve as a People Leader for the Firewall Task Area, overseeing operations, projects, and assessments. • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance assessments for personnel supporting the firewall team. What You'll Need • BS degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience (additional work experience may substitute for a degree). • At least 3 years of Firewall experience within the DoD environment. • Demonstrated knowledge in planning, directing, and managing a Firewall Team of similar organizational size. • Advanced experience managing baseline configurations and evaluating rules across numerous firewalls for maximum security. • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • Must hold a DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to starting.
