We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Industrial Business Development Manager to join our Power Products team and drive growth across a strategically important territory covering Southern Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and surrounding regional areas.
Location: This is a field-based role where customer engagement and relationship building are critical to success. As a result, we are seeking candidates who are currently located in Southern Sydney or the broader South Sydney region, providing convenient access to customers across the territory and enabling regular face to face engagement with key industrial accounts, partners and stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts and expanding Schneider Electric's presence across End Users, OEMs, System Integrators, Panel Builders, Contractors and Industrial Electrical Wholesalers. You will focus on driving growth through MRO (maintenance, repair and operations), product conversion opportunities, upgrades and projects while promoting Schneider Electric's broader portfolio of industrial, power distribution and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Drive profitable sales growth and increase market share across the Southern Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra territory.
- Develop and execute account plans for key industrial customers and prospects.
- Build strong relationships with End Users, OEMs, Contractors, System Integrators, Panel Builders and Electrical Wholesalers.
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across industrial sectors.
- Manage an active sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting through CRM tools.
- Drive specification, product conversion and project opportunities across Schneider Electric's portfolio.
- Promote complementary Schneider Electric offers, including Power Products, Services, Power Systems and Secure Power solutions.
- Work closely with channel partners and distributors to generate demand and maximise growth opportunities.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, technical discussions and training sessions both onsite and through digital platforms.
- Support product launches, marketing campaigns, industry events and technical seminars.
- Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric's commercial, ethical and safety standards.
To be successful, you will bring a strong combination of technical knowledge, sales capability and relationship management experience, along with a genuine passion for developing long term customer partnerships.
Qualifications- Experience in industrial sales, business development or account management.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical products, switchgear, motor control, automation or related technologies.
- An Electrical Engineering qualification, Electrical Trade qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- A proven track record of achieving sales growth and building customer relationships within industrial markets.
- Experience working with End Users, OEMs, Contractors, Integrators, Panel Builders or Distribution partners.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience using CRM tools, pipeline management and sales forecasting processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, self motivated and customer focused approach.
