Job Description

PAM Specialist

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a PAM Specialist for an initial 6-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Culham, Oxfordshire | Hybrid

The ideal candidate will possess an active security clearance and have a strong background in Privileged Access Management (PAM).

The following skills and experiences are essential for this role:

  • Proven hands-on experience in the implementation and management of PAM toolkits.
  • Proficiency in the configuration and management of Privileged Remote Access
  • A comprehensive understanding of credential vaulting, password rotation, and check-in/check-out workflows
  • Experience in configuring privileged session recording and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of service account discovery and life cycle management processes
  • Familiarity with onboarding Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and network devices to PAM platforms
  • An understanding of Active Directory privileged account management practices
  • Experience in integrating Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for PAM event logging and alerting
  • Familiarity with recognised security frameworks, including ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for addressing connector and session issues
  • Proficient documentation skills for technical configurations and development of runbooks
  • Experience in secure environments, particularly within the public sector or defence, is highly advantageous.
