Job Description

This role is part of the Comp Engine 2.0 (CE 2.0) initiative — a major modernization effort to rebuild the company’s underwriting and pricing platform.

The project involves:

  • Transitioning from Python-based microservices to Java (Spring Boot)
  • Breaking down monolithic logic into modular, callable services (e.g., rebates, revenue components)
  • Integrating across multiple data ecosystems (DFM, Azure, etc.)
  • Building a scalable go-to-market underwriting platform

This is a high-impact, long-term transformation project expected to run through end of year and potentially beyond.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build Java-based microservices (Spring Boot)
  • Help migrate/convert existing Python services into Java
  • Develop modular services for:
    • Pricing
    • Revenue
    • Rebates
  • Collaborate on system architecture and service integration
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of services

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Java (primary requirement)
  • Experience with Spring Boot
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience designing and building scalable backend systems
