Full Stack Developer

Your new company Hays is partnering with a major Federal Government agency to build a talent pool of Full Stack Developers for several upcoming digital delivery initiatives. We're interested in speaking with developers who enjoy working across the full software development lifecycle and who have experience building modern, user-focused applications using React, React Native and API-driven architectures. These opportunities are expected to sit within Agile delivery teams responsible for enhancing digital services used by thousands of Australians. You'll work closely with product owners, designers, testers and other engineers to deliver secure, accessible and scalable solutions.

Your new role

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with product owners, architects, designers and testing teams to deliver scalable, secure and accessible solutions. These opportunities will see you contributing to the development of modern web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on React, React Native and API-driven development.

What you'll need to succeed

• Commercial experience developing applications using React and React Native
• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript development skills
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience working across both front-end and back-end development
• Exposure to cloud-based environments and modern DevOps practices
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable experience

• Federal Government experience
• Mobile application development experience
• Experience with automated testing practices
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and user-centred design principles
• Experience working within large-scale digital transformation programs
