Job Description

Product Development Engineer Manufacturing. Co Antrim 4 day working week. Energis is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our growing manufacturing client for a Product Development Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an innovative manufacturer committed to designing and developing market-leading products. You'll play a key role in bringing new products from concept through to production, while supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and product development. Applications are invited from graduates with a placement year, as well as more experienced candidates. The Role Working closely with the engineering and production teams, you'll be involved in: Designing and developing new and existing products. Producing CAD/CAM drawings and technical documentation. Supporting prototype manufacture, testing and product validation. Creating and improving manufacturing processes using LEAN principles. Maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation. Liaising with suppliers, customers and production teams. Supporting the commissioning and optimisation of new manufacturing equipment. About You A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. At least 1-2 years' experience in a design or product development role. Experience using CAD/CAM software (Solid Edge or similar). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. A proactive approach with an interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement. Experience with automation, robotics, sheet metal manufacturing or CNC programming would be highly advantageous.
