Azure Developer with Terraform | W2 Profiles | Hybrid

Role: Azure Developer

Location: Downers Grove, IL / Quincy, IL - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

·       Azure Infrastructure: Provision, configure, and manage Azure compute resources, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions (Serverless), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

·       Application Development: Design and develop scalable, highly available, and reliable cloud-native applications using [C# / .NET / Python / Node.js].

·       IAC: Terraform

·       Data Integration: Implement and optimize data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Queues).

·       Messaging & Microservices: Build event-driven architectures and microservices using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Azure API Management (APIM).

·       Security & Identity: Implement secure access and authentication using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Managed Identities, Azure Key Vault, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

·       CI/CD & Automation: Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines using [HArness / GitHub Actions] and write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using [Bicep / Terraform / ARM templates].

·       Monitoring & Optimization: Instrument applications for telemetry and troubleshooting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

·       Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and architectural discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       Experience: [3-5+] years of professional software development experience, with at least [2+] years dedicated to developing solutions on Microsoft Azure.

·       Programming: Strong proficiency in [C# and the .NET Core ecosystem / Python / Java / Node.js].

·       Cloud Compute: Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and containerization (Docker, Azure Container Registry).

·       Databases: Experience working with both relational (Azure SQL) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB) databases.

·       Security Best Practices: Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and secret management via Key Vault.

·       APIs: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with API Management gateways.

·       Version Control: Proficiency with Git and branching strategies.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

·       Microservices: Experience containerizing applications and deploying to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.

·       Infrastructure as Code: Experience writing modular IaC using Terraform or Azure Bicep.

·       Migration Experience: Experience migrating legacy on-premises applications to Azure PaaS/Serverless architectures.

·       Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
