Job Description
As the Enterprise Architect, you will play a critical role in enabling RAC to deliver on its purpose by ensuring the organisation's capabilities, structures, processes and technologies are strategically aligned and future fit. You will translate RAC's business strategy into actionable architectural blueprints and roadmaps that drive organisational transformation. This role bridges the gap between strategic intent and operational execution, aligning business capabilities, operating models and technology to deliver sustainable competitive advantage.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of RAC's enterprise architecture strategy and mandate, ensuring alignment with strategic direction and regulatory obligations.
- Create and maintain documentation, policies and protocols supporting architectural models, standards and guiding principles.
- Act as a trusted advisor on strategic planning, investment prioritisation and risk management.
- Define enterprise architecture principles and facilitate governance forums to guide decision making and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain the business capability model in collaboration with stakeholders, embedding it into strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Design and evolve enterprise wide architecture frameworks across business processes, data, infrastructure and technology, providing governance, reviews and advisory support.
- Collaborate with high performing business and technology matrix teams on the end to end technology landscape, evaluating emerging trends and solutions that drive innovation, agility and operational excellence.
- Build influential relationships and act as a trusted advisor to executives on investment prioritisation, sequencing of key initiatives and risk management.
- Proven experience translating organisational strategy into enterprise wide capability and architecture plans within complex, regulated environments.
- Experience leading governance forums and ensuring alignment with regulatory and risk requirements.
- Demonstrated experience developing and embedding business capability models to inform strategic planning, prioritisation and investment decisions.
- Strong experience coordinating and sequencing enterprise wide initiatives, ensuring architecture is embedded across project and change delivery.
- Proven understanding of how applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, integration and emerging technologies converge to enable better business outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with, and influencing high performing, matrixed teams.
- Broad technical capability across enterprise architecture domains (infrastructure, applications, data, security).
- A tertiary qualification in technology, business, engineering or a related discipline, complemented by an enterprise architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, CEAP, Zachman).
- Variety across multiple businesses, partnering closely with senior leaders to solve complex business problems.
