Job Title: Email Content Author – Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO)
Extended Contract
$45/hr


Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Email Content Author to support lifecycle marketing efforts within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO). This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of omni-channel campaigns, including email, push notifications, and SMS, ensuring content is built, scheduled, tested, and deployed with precision.
The ideal candidate combines strong content assembly skills with a deep understanding of marketing automation platforms, quality assurance, and campaign workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Execution
  • Build and configure campaigns within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) across email, push, and SMS channels
  • Translate marketing briefs and requirements into fully functional, production-ready campaigns
  • Configure personalization, dynamic content, and audience targeting rules
  • Ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging guidelines
Scheduling & Deployment
  • Manage scheduling and orchestration of campaigns within AJO
  • Coordinate cross-channel delivery timing and sequencing within customer journeys
  • Monitor campaign readiness and ensure timely deployment
Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Conduct thorough QA testing on all campaign elements prior to launch, including:
    • Content accuracy (copy, links, images)
    • Personalization tokens and dynamic logic
    • Rendering across devices and channels
    • Compliance with legal and brand standards (CAN-SPAM, opt-outs, etc.)
  • Execute test sends and validate audience segmentation and delivery logic
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with marketing, product, and technical teams
Platform Operations & Optimization
  • Maintain organized workflows, templates, and assets within AJO
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in campaign setup and QA processes
  • Partner with technical teams on enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting
  • Stay current on AJO capabilities and best practices

Qualifications
Required
  • 2–5+ years of experience in marketing automation, campaign execution, or digital marketing operations
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) or similar ESP/marketing automation platforms (Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, etc.)
  • Experience building and deploying email, push, and SMS campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail and QA rigor
  • Understanding of personalization, segmentation, and customer journey logic
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email (basic editing and troubleshooting)
Preferred
  • Experience working in omni-channel lifecycle marketing environments
  • Knowledge of data structures, schemas, and audience segmentation concepts
  • Experience with testing tools (Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Experience working in agile environments
  • Experience in project management tools like Monday.com, Jira, etc.
  • Experience working collaboratively in Figma
