Job Description

As a Financial Analyst in the Technology sector, you will provide critical financial insights and support decision-making processes within the Accounting & Finance department. This role in Basingstoke requires strong analytical skills to manage financial data and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Description

* SaaS Reporting & Automation: Design and maintain automated dashboards in Power BI (or appropriate other tool) to track critical SaaS metrics (ARR, Net Retention, Churn, LTV/CAC, and profitability) as well as all key financial metrics across the P&L and balance sheet. The role will also be pivotal in company-wide metric development and reporting in collaboration with other key departments (for example revenue operations).

* Systems & AI Integration: Lead the implementation of AI tools into the Finance workflow- from automating data ingestion to using LLMs for predictive analysis and trend spotting.

* Scenario Planning & Modelling: Build and manage flexible, robust financial models to support "what-if" analysis, pricing strategies, and long-term strategic planning for the PE partners.

* PE-Grade Analysis: Deliver high-cadence monthly reporting packs that satisfy the rigorous requirements of a PE environment, focusing on variance analysis, operational KPIs and business impacts based on insights gleaned from the data.

* Data Architecture: Oversee the data flow between the CRM, billing systems, and accounting software to ensure data integrity and real-time visibility.

Profile

The successful Financial Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) are desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in the Technology industry is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
