About the Firm

Our client is a leading middle-market private investment platform with approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management and a long-standing history of investing in essential businesses and infrastructure assets across North America.

The firm is entering an exciting period of growth, with plans to double AUM over the next 5-7 years while deploying $200-$250 million of capital annually into new and existing investments. The Power & Infrastructure strategy focuses on sectors benefiting from long-term secular tailwinds, including power generation, utility services, energy infrastructure, grid modernization, digital infrastructure, and other mission-critical assets supporting economic growth.



The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate to join its South Carolina-based investment team. This individual will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across the power and infrastructure landscape.

This role offers significant responsibility, direct access to senior leadership, and exposure to all stages of the investment lifecycle within a highly active and growing platform.



Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute private equity investments across power and infrastructure sectors
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, DCF, operating, and valuation analyses
  • Conduct industry research, market assessments, and competitive analysis
  • Participate in due diligence processes alongside management teams, consultants, lenders, and advisors
  • Prepare investment committee presentations, memoranda, and transaction materials
  • Support negotiations and execution throughout the deal process
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation initiatives
  • Work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in:
    • Investment Banking
    • Private Equity
    • Infrastructure Investing
    • Energy or Power Investment Banking
    • Project Finance
    • Related transaction-focused finance roles
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated interest in power, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
