Automotive Project Engineer
The Opportunity:
We have the most exciting opportunity for aProject Engineer working within a particularly exciting Automotive environment. Your skills will lie in Project Management, with an ability to assist with Mechanical Designs, all within an Automotive manufacturer. If you don't have direct Automotive experience, then an interest in the industry and an understanding of how an engine works will be essential. You will fully utilize your CAD design experience, liaising with global defense customers, internal designers and project managers to realise the customers requirements. It really is a great opportunity!

Job Responsibilities:
- Translation of Customer requirements into measureable engineering terms and then liaising between our Design Engineers, Project Managers and the international customers directly. Your role will be to manage multiple exciting projects at any one time ensuring that designs are feasible, that budgets are realistic and that product is delivered beyond the customers satisfaction.
- Concept design, checking and sign off of drawings for manufacture and consistent liaison with project management team.
- 3D CAD skills, ideally using Solidworks, and ideally in the automotive sector (although not essential).
- Knowledge of drawing standards, geometrical tolerancing and ideally welding specifications.
- Some experience in a Project Engineers or Applications Engineers role would be ideal, or the desire to move from a Design role into just such a position is a must.
- Good report writing and project information recording experience.
- An Engineering Degree essential.
