Are you a CNC Field Service Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills who enjoys working independently across the UK
Workshop Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business with an excellent reputation for quality machinery and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to join a successful team supporting customers nationwide.
You'll receive two weeks of intensive training on joining, giving you a solid understanding of the company's CNC machinery and service standards, followed by ongoing technical development and support from an experienced Service Helpdesk team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery at customer sites.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during every site visit.
- Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays on larger projects.
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years' experience as a CNC Field Service Engineer or in a similar field service role.
- Background within the machinery or CNC industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away when required.
