Position: Business Development Manager

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: General Manager

Reportees: Area Sales Managers, Sales Executives


Criteria: Any Graduate(MBA/PGDM preferred) with 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in Medical Devices, Pharma, or Healthcare.

Job Summary:

Drive regional sales growth by executing strategic sales plans, optimizing market presence, managing distribution and inventory, and fostering a high-performance team culture, while ensuring strong customer and channel partner engagement and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Area Strategic Business Planning & Execution

Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve topline sales targets and expand market presence.

Conduct monthly Regional Team Meetings (RTMs) to review area performance and forecast sales.

Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to refine regional sales strategies.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, and other teams to drive business growth.

Provide regular regional performance reports to senior management.

Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Market Development

Drive market coverage through Sales Executives and ASMs.

Conduct CDEs in coordination with the Marketing team.

Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive regional growth.

Distribution & Stock Management

Optimize inventory pipeline and stock movement at distributor levels.

Ensure adherence to company norms regarding returns, damages, and expiry stock.

Plan and execute secondary sales strategies, driving optimal product mix performance.

Participate in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly forecast meetings.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop the regional sales team.

Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability.

Conduct structured performance assessments and career development planning.

Recognize superior performance and encourage team motivation.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with key KOLs, channel partners, and key customers. Enhance brand presence through regional initiatives.
