Conveyancing Solicitor – Office Based

Our client, a family run firm of solicitors are looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to manage a busy caseload focused primarily on residential sales and purchases, together with other residential property matters.

The role will be based in their Hertfordshire offices 5 days a week.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Handle commercial property and commercial conveyancing instructions when required
2. Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the whole office
3. Maintain high standards of legal work, file management and regulatory compliance
4. Be responsible for SRA responsibilities and roles such as COLP and COFA.
5. Act as an authoritative and visible presence within the office, setting priorities and improving team accountability
6. Manage client expectations, provide regular updates and handle concerns tactfully and professionally
7. Monitor productivity, billing and profitability while helping the department maximise revenue
8. Contribute to business development initiatives and the expansion of the firm's property offering
9. A qualified solicitor or experienced conveyancing professional with strong residential conveyancing expertise
10. Able to undertake commercial property work when instructions arise
11. Previous experience managing a conveyancing team, department or office is strongly preferred
12. Confident, authoritative and capable of holding colleagues accountable while maintaining a supportive working environment.
