Industrial Refrigeration Design Engineer

An established industrial refrigeration contractor is looking to appoint a Lead Design & Proposals Engineer to support the delivery of complex industrial cooling projects across the UK.

This is a senior technical role combining proposal development, system design and engineering support, with responsibility for projects from initial enquiry through to commissioning.

Working closely with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams, you will lead the technical bid process before progressing into detailed design, equipment selection and ongoing project support. The role is primarily focused on ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems within industrial and process cooling environments.

Requirements<br />Proven experience designing industrial refrigeration systems<br />Strong knowledge of ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration<br />Experience producing technical proposals and supporting tender submissions<br />Good understanding of refrigeration system design, controls and industry standards<br />Commercial awareness with the ability to develop technically and commercially viable solutions<br />Ability to support projects through design, installation and commissioning<br />Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Package<br />Competitive salary depending on experience<br />Flexible working arrangements<br />Pension and benefits package<br />Long-term career progression within a well-established industrial refrigeration contractor Interested in hearing more?
