Job Title: Packaging Engineer
Location: Franklin, NH

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
5 7 years of packaging engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment; experience with metal components (castings, forgings, machined parts) strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of corrosion-prevention packaging methods (VCI, desiccants, barrier films) for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Hands-on experience with ISTA/ASTM transit and performance testing standards.
Proficiency with CAD tools for packaging/dunnage design (Inventor, Solidworks, AutoCAD) and structural design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Cape Pack) a plus.
Experience working with international suppliers and global logistics/export packaging requirements.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills - this role interfaces regularly with Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Product Management.
Data-driven approach to cost/protection trade-off decisions; comfortable building cost models and presenting recommendations to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPP (Certified Packaging Professional) designation.
Experience specifically in plumbing, valve, HVAC, or industrial hardware packaging.
Familiarity with lean/Six Sigma methodologies for packaging waste and cost reduction.
Experience packaging for both OEM/industrial customers and retail/big-box channels.
