IT - DPH - Internet / Web Engineer - Consultant

Location: Cayce, SC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Remote may be possible
Client: South Carolina Department of Public Health 

Position Overview

The South Carolina Department of Public Health (SCDPH) is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / SharePoint professional to support its Office 365 Government G5 environment. The role will focus on SharePoint development and administration, Power Platform solutions, security, permissions, user support, and cloud-centric solutions.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, able to work with limited supervision, and comfortable collaborating with technical teams, customers, and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, modify, and deploy SharePoint sites, forms, and workflows using Office 365 Government tools.

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint sites and sub-sites.

  • Manage site permissions, security, layout, structure, content, quotas, and file size limits.

  • Provide SharePoint support to end users.

  • Configure SharePoint services and settings.

  • Deploy custom-developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages.

  • Review and monitor SharePoint usage reports.

  • Perform site cleanup and remove unused sites.

  • Support Office 365 Government G5 environment management, permissions, and security.

  • Support Power BI and Power Platform solutions.

  • Assist with system architecture and solution design.

  • Create architecture diagrams and technology navigation maps.

  • Document SharePoint configurations, architectural designs, and system solutions.

  • Create project and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with customers and SMEs during system design and testing.

  • Plan and support project milestones through completion.

  • Assist with developing policies and procedures aligned with agency cybersecurity standards.

  • Support security practices related to NIST 800-53, FISMA, and SC InfoSec requirements.

  • Help integrate systems to streamline workflows, improve security, and reduce data correction needs.

  • Provide regular updates to the project team.

  • Work closely with the M365 Solutions Manager to prioritize and schedule workloads.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint.

  • 6+ years of experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing state-level Public Health system architectures.

  • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

  • 6+ years of experience with Azure Power Platform, Power BI, and PowerApps.

  • 6+ years of PowerShell scripting experience.

  • 6+ years of experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and RSS.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, permissions, and data protection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Office 365 Power BI experience.

  • Experience working in government cloud environments.

  • Experience with public health systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and government security standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

Additional Information

  • 40 hours per week for the duration of the project.

  • Flexible hours may be required, including outside traditional business hours.

  • Remote work may be possible.
