WebSphere Consultant (WAS to Open Liberty Migration)

Overview:

• Seeking a Senior WebSphere Developer/Architect with extensive experience migrating enterprise Java applications from Traditional WebSphere Application Server (tWAS) to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
• This is a hands-on modernization role supporting a large-scale migration of 20+ enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Migrate enterprise Java applications from Traditional WebSphere to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
• Analyze and remediate application code and configuration issues.
• Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Liberty environments.
• Perform application health checks, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Support application deployment from non-production to production.
• Collaborate with application teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Create technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Traditional WebSphere Application Server (tWAS).
• Proven experience migrating applications to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
• Strong Java development experience.
• Enterprise application modernization and migration expertise.
• WebSphere configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience working directly with application development teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
