Commercial Gas Engineer

COMMERICAL GAS ENGINEER Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems across various sites. • Install, service, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry regulations and safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal operation of gas equipment
• Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs efficiently and effectively
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to carry out tasks
• Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems. including pipe fitting and assembly
• Carry out basic carpentry work as needed for installation or maintenance purposes
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Assist in the assembly of new equipment or system components on-site
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies Skills
• Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to gas systems and associated machinery
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
• Valid commercial driving licence is desirable for site travel or transporting equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment while maintaining high safety standards
• Must have Gas Safe
