Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Oracle Xstore Technical Lead to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of our retail Point of Sale (POS) ecosystem. With over 10 years of experience in the retail technology space, you will be the core subject matter expert driving technical architecture, leading a talented team of developers, and ensuring seamless integration with omni-channel retail systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Act as the primary architect and technical lead for the Oracle Xstore POS platform, guiding the development team through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Development & Customization: Lead hands-on development, customization, and configuration of Oracle Xstore, Xstore Office (Xadmin), and Xcenter to meet complex business requirements.

• Architecture & Design: Design robust, scalable, and secure POS solutions, ensuring best-in-class coding standards and technical documentation.

• Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of Xstore with third-party systems, including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.

• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and critical production bugs.

• Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, project managers, and retail stakeholders to translate business goals into technical execution.

• Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior/mid-level developers to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of IT experience, with a heavy focus on Retail POS systems.

• Core Expertise: Proven track record of architecting and developing solutions specifically for Oracle Xstore (both front-end UI and back-end logic).

• Technical Stack: * Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

  • Deep understanding of SQL, Oracle Databases, and database performance tuning.

  • Experience with XML, JSON, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, version control (Git, SVN), and build tools (Maven, Gradle).

• Retail Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of store operations, cash management, inventory management, promos/pricing, and omni-channel journeys (e.g., BOPIS, BORIS).

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to lead distributed, remote teams effectively.
