Oracle EBS Manufacturing Lead Functional Consultant

JOB SUMMARY

The EBS Manufacturing Functional Consultant at plays a crucial role in understanding client requirements and implementing modules using best practices and standard functionality, providing extensions/customizations for required gaps, and ensuring the solution is both feasible and valuable.

The consultant interacts with the customer and other delivery team members in the entire implementation. They require a high level of functional and light technical expertise in their area of expertise. Having broad expertise or unique knowledge in EBS Modules, they use these skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles and achieve goals creatively and effectively.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have a good understanding of manufacturing business processes, such as:
    • Discrete Manufacturing
    • Shop Floor Management
    • Production Planning
    • Inventory Control
    • Work Orders
    • Routing
    • Resources
    • Outside Processing
    • Lot and Serial Control
    • Make-to-Stock
    • Make-to-Order
    • Assemble-to-Order
    • Configure-to-Order
  • Analyze current business processes and scenarios with initial functional implementation and deliver detailed business-focused Manufacturing and ASCP functions.
  • Recommend and suggest best practice solutions and configurations after the client has accepted the analysis.
  • Lead EBS R12.2 with modules:

    • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Work in Process (WIP)
    • Inventory
    • Cost Management
    • Engineering
    • Quality
    • MRP/MPS/MDS
    • Cycle Counting

    through complete implementation including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, build, integration test, go-live and post-production support.

  • Create functional and design documents that align with business requirements and best practices.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Solution Architect, Financials consultant and offshore development teams to complete the entire implementation.
  • Raise issues and provide resolutions as identified to adhere to the project schedule.
  • Provide functional implementation and support for both Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environments by completing support requests and resolving user or system issues.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8-15 years of experience with Oracle methodology, including gathering business requirements, designing business process flow diagrams, configurations, master data management, creating functional design documentation, and confirming technical design documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with high-level customers and all levels of colleagues within the company.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Experience leading an entire project work stream for relevant Oracle applications.
  • Strong mentoring skills and the ability to explain functional concepts to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong experience in full implementation lifecycle projects including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing support, data conversions, go-live and post-go-live activities.
  • Experience with:

    • Cost Management
    • Engineering
    • Quality
    • MRP/MPS/MDS
    • Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP)
    • Cycle Counting

    Experience with Project Costing/Manufacturing is a plus.

  • Exposure to integrations with Procurement, Order Management, Finance and Warehouse Management.
  • Experience working in or supporting a Project & Discrete Manufacturing environment leveraging Oracle EBS R12 as primary ERP system.
  • Experience working with offshore teams to successfully deliver projects. Experience creating functional design documents for offshore teams.
  • Enough SQL experience to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Experience with conversion, upgrade, implementation, or enhancement projects.
  • Cloud experience is a plus.
