Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Flexera Technical Consultant / Developer with strong engineering expertise across Flexera One IT Visibility (ITV), Flexera One ITAM/FNMS, and App Broker.

This role focuses on scripting, customization, automation, integrations, and platform extensions. We are specifically looking for a technical engineer who can build custom solutions and troubleshoot complex data and integration issues—not a functional Software Asset Management (SAM) or software licensing specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Flexera One IT Visibility (ITV)

• Configure and extend data ingestion, normalization, and Technopedia enrichment.

• Develop custom connectors, data imports, and data quality rules.

• Troubleshoot data mapping, ingestion, and normalization issues.

Flexera One ITAM / FNMS

• Develop and customize business adapters, inventory importers, and compliance data integrations.

• Build SQL-based reports, views, and data queries.

• Configure and troubleshoot FlexNet inventory beacons, inventory agents, and data source connections.

Flexera App Broker / App Portal

• Configure self-service application catalogs, approval workflows, and request fulfillment.

• Develop custom actions, scripts, and integrations with MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and ServiceNow.

• Support application deployment automation and catalog customization.

Automation & Integrations

• Develop automation using PowerShell, SQL, and Flexera One REST APIs.

• Build and maintain integrations with ServiceNow, Active Directory / Entra ID, MECM/Intune, cloud platforms, and procurement systems.

• Implement API integrations using REST, JSON, and OAuth.

• Troubleshoot import failures, data flow issues, agent communication, and performance bottlenecks.

Documentation & Platform Modernization

• Document custom development, scripts, integrations, and technical designs.

• Support platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives, including App Portal to App Broker and on-premises FNMS to Flexera One.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 4 years of hands-on Flexera technical development and customization.

• Practical experience with Flexera One IT Visibility, Flexera One ITAM/FNMS, and App Broker or its predecessor, App Portal.

• Strong PowerShell scripting and SQL/T-SQL skills, including queries, views, and stored procedures.

• Hands-on experience developing business adapters, custom importers, and API-based integrations.

• Working knowledge of MECM/SCCM and Intune application deployment.

• Experience implementing or supporting Flexera–ServiceNow integrations.

• Ability to explain previous technical implementations, custom builds, scripts, and troubleshooting approaches during a hands-on technical interview.

Preferred Qualifications

• C#/.NET or JavaScript development for App Broker customization.

• ServiceNow development experience, including Glide scripting and IntegrationHub.

• Flexera certifications.

• Exposure to Flexera SaaS Management or Snow Atlas.

• Consulting experience and the ability to work directly with clients and technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Flexera engineer who can independently develop custom integrations, automate workflows, extend platform capabilities, and resolve complex technical issues across IT visibility, IT asset management, and application delivery.
