Work Location: North Carolina (Candidates must be currently located in the Triangle region of North Carolina. An in-person interview is required. Non-local candidates are not considered by the client.)





*** Only qualified Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer candidates currently located in the Triangle region of North Carolina will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence ***



Required Skills:

Thorough knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (7 Years)

Thorough knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices, including security, scalability, and performance optimization (7 Years)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (7 Years)



Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) (7 Years)



Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Expert who will support the ongoing Cloud infrastructure build. The primary focus is to help our client understand the architecture and be a bridge between the client and the vendors with their knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and security. The complexity of these responsibilities is essential to the client to support the building of the Azure tenant from scratch so that our client systems can be placed in the cloud. Our client has an aggressive schedule to get this done to support the modernization efforts.



Job Duties:

Responsible for designing and developing software solutions for cloud-based operating systems

Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using DevOps methodology and versioning with a descriptive model to define and deploy infrastructure, such as networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies.

Providing a reliable and scalable platform for developers to build and deploy applications

Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cloud network infrastructure, including the deployment and configuration of cloud-based network solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and security



Additional Details:

While most working days will be remote, there may be the occasional need to be on-site at customer offices in Wake/Durham County offices

Candidate must be able to attend an in-person interview

Statewide Travel Required: As a contractor, the selected candidate will have to use their own vehicle
