2907 Application Engineer

InterImage is seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Developer. This position provides senior-level technical and functional expertise supporting joint force deployment planning and execution for Department of Defense (DoD) mission partners.

Essential Job Functions
Provides technical expertise for the Database Schema and Ruleset.
Responsible for development and refinement of Database changes.
Analyze deployment requirements, command relationships, and force movement characteristics across joint and interagency environments.
Collaborate with military planners, analysts, engineers, and senior stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
Prepare and present technical and analytical deliverables, including briefings, white papers, and reports, for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications
12+ years of application development experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical systems.
Hands-on experience developing applications using:
Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
Oracle WebLogic and/or Apache Tomcat
Java
Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall development environments.

Desired Qualifications
Working knowledge of DoD and interagency policies, processes, and operational planning frameworks.
Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to diverse stakeholder groups with varying priorities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
Ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to deployment planning issues, including joint command relationships, responsibilities, and deployment characteristics.
