Why This Role Stands Out
This role offers the chance to be the technical authority driving the integration of advanced autonomous systems into diverse vehicle platforms, providing immense growth and impact. You'll thrive here if you're a hands-on systems engineer passionate about bridging the gap between complex machinery and intelligent software, and you're encouraged to apply to shape the future of vehicle technology.
Quick Overview
Job Description
About the Role
As our Vehicle Integration Lead, you will be the technical authority responsible for making customer vehicles a safe, reliable, and integral part of our Mithra OS ecosystem. Mithra is our ARX Software Stack that transforms legacy fleets with AI-driven autonomy and standardized software, ensuring seamless integration and unmatched adaptability for complex missions. You will own the entire technical journey, from initial feasibility studies with vehicle OEMs to the final commissioning and field testing of fully integrated autonomous systems.
This is a deeply hands-on systems engineering role for someone who loves to bridge the gap between complex machinery and intelligent software. You will be accountable for the entire vehicle platform—spanning mechanical, electrical, and software domains—ensuring that every vehicle we touch is a robust, testable, and mission-ready asset.
What You’ll Build
- Own the end-to-end technical integration of customer vehicles, transforming them into intelligent platforms powered by our Mithra OS.
- Lead the deep-dive technical assessments of new vehicle platforms, defining the precise path forward for integration with our autonomy stack.
- Design and implement the physical and mechatronic systems that bring our technology to life, including computers, sensors, networks, and power systems.
- Develop the low-level vehicle control software and interfaces (CAN, LIN, ETH) that enable safe and reliable drive-by-wire and teleoperation capabilities.
- Define and execute rigorous verification and validation plans, from bench tests to live field trials in challenging environments.
- Act as the central technical hub, coordinating with vehicle OEMs, internal engineering teams, and partners to solve complex integration challenges.
- Create the tools, documentation, and reusable methods that will scale our integration capabilities for future fleets.
What You Bring
- Significant hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting complex systems on robotics, automotive, defense, or industrial vehicles.
- Expertise in vehicle electrical and network architectures, including CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Practical, real-world skill in designing and implementing physical integrations for power distribution, harnesses, sensors, and compute hardware.
- A cross-disciplinary mindset, with the ability to diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and networking domains.
- A strong sense of engineering judgment and a healthy skepticism, knowing when to proceed and when to challenge assumptions.
- Experience working directly with OEM engineering teams and navigating their technical documentation and support processes.
- A calm, methodical approach to solving tough problems in workshops, test facilities, and customer sites.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
What We Offer
Join a mission-driven European defense tech company at a pivotal stage of growth, where you can help shape meaningful technology, take ownership early, and grow with the business!
- Competitive compensation package including a bonus opportunity
- 27 days of annual leave to start, increasing with tenure up to 30 days
- Enhanced pension scheme plus private medical and dental insurance
- Learning & development support and team events budget
- Hybrid working setup depending on role and team needs
- Structured salary bands, levelling framework, and bi-annual development conversations
- Referral bonus program, dog-friendly office, and relocation support where applicable
