Job Description

 

This is a remote position.

1. San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Richmond, VA, Kansas City, MO; Cleveland, OH; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX. Workers who are commutable to any headquarters or branch office are ok.
These roles are mostly remote, but there will be occasional ?in office? required, and the worker must show up in-person to get equipment and be ID?ed.

 

 
As a Sr. Solution Architect, you will be hands-on performing technical analysis and troubleshooting on highly complex integrated systems, including diagnostic approaches, determining root causes, and identifying solutions on a data lake house hosted in a cloud environment utilizing technologies such as R, sparklyr, Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, Tableau, Python and/or Alteryx.
 

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

7+ years of experience with all aspects of projects, from design through development, testing, implementation, and production

Advanced knowledge of data engineering and analytics tools, specifically Databricks, Immuta, Starburst, Collibra, and AWS

Experience designing and implementing data mesh and data lake solutions, focusing on data ingestion, validation, and orchestration utilizing Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, and Immuta within AWS environments

Experience establishing and enforcing data quality standards, governance policies, and data management best practices

Subject matter expertise across multiple solution patterns

Advanced skills in business enterprise knowledge and consulting

Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies

Expanded capabilities in strategic thinking

Strong skills in problem-solving, communication for results, systems thinking, and change advocacy

High EQ, relationship builder

 

Responsibilities:

Design and implement data mesh and data lake solutions, focusing on data ingestion, validation, and orchestration utilizing Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, and Immuta within AWS environments.

Create reusable data management and integration patterns, and review them during architectural review boards.

Provide technical leadership and expertise to the data engineering team on best practices for implementing solutions with the core technology stack.

Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams to design scalable data and analytics solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance policies, and data management best practices.

Optimize data pipelines, queries, and infrastructure configuration to improve overall system performance.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with data engineering, ensuring data security, contingency, and compliance.

Lead and coordinate domain technical and business discussions on future architecture direction.

Identify organizational requirements for resources, structures, and cultural changes to support change management initiatives.

Lead multiple architectural engagements across the organization.

Participate in IT strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, and business innovation.

Develop business cases for approval of new architectural initiatives.

Develop and communicate domain-wide policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Lead and facilitate architecture governance processes.

Conduct research and evaluation activities for emerging technology solutions.
