Business Systems Analyst 3 Workday (Remote BUT Candidates must reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana)
We're seeking a senior Business Systems Analyst with deep Workday expertise to support a complex enterprise HR systems environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with HR stakeholders, solving business challenges through technology, and improving business processes through thoughtful Workday configuration and system enhancements.
This is more than a traditional business analyst position. You'll be involved throughout the full solution lifecycle from gathering requirements and facilitating fit/gap discussions to configuring Workday, supporting security, building reports, testing enhancements, documenting solutions, and driving user adoption.
What You'll Do
- Configure, support, and enhance Workday solutions across multiple functional areas.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable functional solutions.
- Partner with HR, business stakeholders, and technical teams to improve business processes and system capabilities.
- Configure business processes, security, reports, dashboards, and system functionality.
- Build documentation including functional specifications, user guides, SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Support Workday releases, production issues, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
- Create reports and analytics that help drive business decisions.
- Participate in integration planning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, design sessions, process reviews, and solution demonstrations.
Required Experience
- Extensive hands-on Workday experience supporting enterprise HR environments.
- Experience configuring multiple Workday modules such as Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Learning, Time Tracking, Absence, Reporting, or Security.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration, security, and reporting.
- Experience gathering business requirements, conducting fit/gap analysis, and translating business needs into functional solutions.
- Experience creating Workday reports and dashboards.
- Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and regression testing.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Workday certifications.
- Experience with Workday Extend, Workday Studio, APIs, or integrations.
- Experience supporting large enterprise Workday implementations.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting multi-company or complex Workday environments.
Location
Fully remote. Candidates must reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana.
