As part of our 21st Century Security vision, Lockheed Martin is investing in advancing multi-function sensing capabilities. Our Converged Sensors team is accelerating multi-function aperture & multi-function processing technologies through research, development, & demonstrations.
Who You Are
Our team is seeking a driven Systems Engineer to help lead the cross-program development & implementation of advanced digital sensor architectures in open architecture platforms with challenging size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) constrained environments. In this role, you will serve as a systems engineer for enterprise sensor / board / component designs to architect, prototype, demonstrate and transition technology to Flexible Communications, Radar, and Electronic Warfare (FlexCREW) systems.
A Level 5 employee is typically senior-career, can lead with technical breadth and depth, and has 12 to 14+ years of professional experience.
What You Will Do (The Work)
Join the Converged Sensors Systems Engineering team to develop advanced multi-function sensor capabilities
Collaborate on programs across lines of business (LoB) and business areas (BA) to understand requirements, develop solutions, and transition capabilities
Lead performance assessments and requirement decomposition across RF, Digital and Software / Firmware teams for transition opportunities
Support new business capture by generating artifacts and authoring response sections in proposal development phase
Participate in enterprise roadmap development for multi-function sensors including hardware and SW/FW sub-roadmaps
Please note:
You will work out of our Moorestown, NJ location, & report to our Converged Sensors organization.
This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Top Secret level.

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated success in leading execution of teams
Expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: system analysis, system architecture, requirements development, trade studies
9 years of experience
Prior project systems engineering lead / SEIT / architecture experience
Active or ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
Ability to support up to 10% travel
Desired skills
Technical expertise in Radar, Electronic Warfare, Communications Systems, or Sensors
Prior experience in the defense industry or related field
Knowledge of Agile & DevSecOps methodologies
Demonstrate verbal & written communication skills
Experience using systems analysis tools such as MATLAB or SystemVue (RF analysis)
Experience using systems architecture tools such as Cameo or Rhapsody
Demonstrated technical mentorship at all career levels.
Strong interpersonal and soft skills that allow for coaching and the ability to state clear convictions and influence outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to provide advice/guidance during intense technical efforts and difficult situations that may require re-direction to achieve mission success.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $110,500 -$198,422.

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
